The Retrica Song Contest 3 was the second edition of the Retrica Song Contest. The contest was originally scheduled to take place August 2017, however it suffered over a year's worth of delays due to various undisclosed issues.
Format[]
Due to prior commitments, Ireland's highest placing Country Model Contest competitor Georgia Salpa was unable to host the event. Instead, actress-model Sarah Bolger who achieved 5th place presented the contest.
Location[]
RTÉ confirmed that the contest would be held at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin, Ireland. The venue can hold up to 1,600 people. The CCU announced in a joint statement with RTÉ that "having a larger venue was not justified, as such would not be until the contest has a wider amount of participants, and therefore, higher interest levels."
